EXPERIENCE
I have worked in the field of Graphic Design for over 10 years. I currently work in the Higher-Education sector as a Graphic Designer and consultant.
In 2002, I established MJF Design Network, LLC, in an effort to provide high quality design/creative services to small and developing businesses.
EDUCATION & AWARDS
I completed studies at Chandler-Gilbert Community College and Arizona State University where I was selected as the “Outstanding Graphic Information Technology Undergraduate.” I hold a Master of Science of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology with concentration in Graphic Information Technology.
While completing my education at ASU, I received the International Gutenberg Award from the International Graphic Education Association (IGEA) for my online portfolio. I was selected as an IDea Guru for the IDeaLaboratory at Arizona State University to work on grant research and development activities. While there, I designed Whispered Words a digital publication for American Indian college students attending any of the Maricopa Community Colleges and ASU. I was also the designer for the Engineering Design Graphics Journal, an international academic journal for professors, and Letras Femeninas, which is a magazine put together by the Asociacion Internacional de Literatura y Cultura Femenina Hispanica.
